The Faculty of Humanities is one of the thirteen faculties of Bu-Ali Sina University, which is located on the main campus of the university at the foot of Mount Alvand, a region with a pleasant climate. This faculty was established in 1986 and currently has 11 educational departments including (Law, Educational Sciences, General Linguistics, Islamic Studies, Theology, Persian Language and Literature, Arabic Language and Literature, English Language, French Language, Ancient Languages and Culture, and Iranology) and has about 2,270 students studying at bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels in various fields. This faculty has a language laboratory, educational technology laboratory, specialized library, computer workshop, and computer site (for different bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels). Student-scientific associations are located on the faculty campus. This faculty accepts and enrolls students in bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels every year in accordance with the country's higher education laws and regulations from among applicants from inside and outside the country in various ways such as: those introduced by the Evaluation Organization, brilliant talents, scholarships, and so on.
The Faculty of Humanities has 79 faculty members with the academic ranks of professor, associate professor, assistant professor, and instructor. In this faculty, 35 personnel are working in various educational, administrative, and service areas. The Faculty of Humanities has 9 undergraduate majors, 21 master's majors, and 12 doctoral majors.
